It seems like just yesterday that Jon and Mary first caught the attention of our development team on social media. A flight attendant and a basketball referee deciding to go all-in on the biggest real estate gamble of their lives?! We had to know more. Once we got them on a call, we were captivated by their authenticity, chemistry, and the unique niche they’d developed in the Houston real estate market. We knew viewers would be, too!
During our four months in Houston, TX, we followed Jon and Mary in their every day lives. We documented the realities of the Houston real estate market as the couple dealt with everything from hoarders’ houses and crumbling foundations to leaking roofs and stolen copper wiring. We captured their dynamic as Mary, the designer and all around visionary, dreamed big, and Jon, licensed realtor and master adapter, pivoted on a whim to ensure the finished product matched Mary’s vision.
In each half-hour episode of Going for Sold, viewers see Jon and Mary incorporate their unique design style while maximizing their tight reno budgets as they work to create customized renovations for outdated homes with today’s buyers in mind.
