As the name implies, we went from coast to coast to infuse the tropical flavors of Hawaii with famous local fare. This Travel Channel, Food Network, and Cooking Channel special had all kinds of ingredients – chefs, traveling, food trucks, talented talent, great dishes, and hungry crowds.
We worked with the very talented Chef Mark Manguera and Mark Dacascos along with chefs from all different kinds of culinary backgrounds. We took the King’s Hawaiian food truck from the sunny coast of Los Angeles where we created an Ahi Tuna taco to the heart of great bar-b-q in Austin to a low country kitchen in Charleston to the city of endless food innovation, New York.
It was a fantastic production, being able to work with multiple networks, two hosts, several chefs, and having the opportunity to share King’s Hawaiian recipes with the eager crowds that surrounded our food truck in each city.
