As the name suggests, You Can’t Turn That into a House is a show where three dudes get their hands dirty converting unexpected structures and items into houses.
It takes a lot of hard work to get the job done, so to help communicate this we designed distressed graphics on dirty paper (similar to what you might find on the work site). The use of wood texture and dust particles helped to achieve this overall look.
Keeping in line with distressed graphics and paper, all 3D graphics used color paper textures over white paper to create a two-dimensional, illustrated look. To enhance this look in motion, the graphics were animated at 12 frames per second to mimic stop frame animation.
Overall, these graphics helped viewers see how these cousins did turn the unexpected into homes.
