The secret’s out! DIY Network just announced that Blog Cabin 2015 will be located in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. Whew…Feels good to get that secret out in the open! BEHIND THE SCENES PHOTOS
Sometimes you’re in the middle of a shoot, and an airplane passes overhead. Great time for our producer to take a short break and snap a picture.
What we have here is Jason getting some drone shots of Laurie and Chris. It’s cool guys, just act normal while Jason flies circles around you.
We had the pleasure of shooting on this one-of-a-kind, custom teak boat, complete with its own drawbridge!
And it’s hard to tell form this photo, but we’re all walking around in socks. No shoes, boat rules!
Sometimes to get the perfect shot, you have to do a little hiking (gear in tow). Needless to say, it was all worth it for this view.
What happens when there’s a 1/2 mile of water between you and the less populated beach where you want to shoot? Rent a kayak and get it all done before your 1hr rental is up!
It was also Laurie’s first kayaking experience, which we discovered just as we pushed her from the shore and into the water. No worries, though! We made it there, shot our footage, and raced back in 53 minutes. No one fell out or anything!
We’ll miss you Coeur d’Alene, Idaho! Best of luck to the 2015 Blog Cabin reno teams and viewer participants. The location is spectacular. The cabin’s going to need a little TLC, though…starting with the bathroom situation. Yikes!
